The Alpine Auricula originated from the mountainous regions of Austria and Switzerland. By the late 16th Century they had become increasingly popular and were cultivated in gardens across Europe. Auricula symbolise strength and resilience, likely due to the flower's hardy nature and ability to thrive in challenging alpine environments and harsh weather.
Cards are printed on to a premium heavy weight card stock with a subtle eggshell texture and come with a matching white envelope. The card and envelope paper stock is produced using FSC® Certified pulp.
Size A6 (105mm x 148mm) when folded.
The original artwork is painted in Sumi ink and gouache from life or using a reference from one of my many botanical books.
